Oh, We're Going To Ibiza

After a relaxing few days of doing odd Jobs on Steinlager and exploring Cadiz, hopefully at midnight tonight we set off to get through the Gibraltar Straight and on to Ibiza. The trip is about 400 miles, so at SL2 speed we should be there in 3 days. It also promises to be a rather eventful sail - it's been blowing a consistant force 7 and 8 since we arrived, which is going to last well in to next week. Not really much else to report on. John spent lots of time on sail repair. I spent lots of time reading "Mr. Nice" (bookclub note: I would certainly recommend it). Lots of food and drink (paid for by the the sponsers, of course) and merryment with the rest of the crew. We introduced them to the notorious Baileys and whisky combo at the local bar. Until about 3am. By the end the staff were giving us the bottles to pour ourselves. We'll won't hang around in Ibiza - we're both now itching to get back to Rebel. Perhaps one night of Party Hard and a morning on the beach then hopefully we'll be on a plane back to Portugal, so in theory by the start of next week we'll be making our way on to Porto Santos. Nick out.

"On Monday temperatures in the South of England topped those in Spanish resorts, higher than in Ibiza, where it was 31C (88F) and the Canary Islands - 27C (81F)."

Would eb nice to drop a couple of degrees ;)

I got a phone call from John tonight, they are in Ibiza, having it large, and are flying back to Lisbon on Sunday.
They can't find an internet cafe ( so they phoned me to book their plane tickets) but they are well, looking forward to getting back on Rebel, and have lots of exciting stories to update their blog with!!!!
